Research Interest Summary

L2 acquisition of Spanish, L2 speech perception, experimental phonology, high variability phonetic training

Research Interests

Farrah is a PhD candidate of Hispanic Linguistics. Her dissertation research examines the degree to which L2 learners are sensitive to the training of discrete phonetic variables (VOT) under different training conditions. Ultimately, her professional goal is to add to our understanding of how learners come to most accurately perceive and produce L2 sounds, and use this information to inform best practices in pedagogy.
