PhD candidate Angela (Krak) Swain accepts position at Penn State University


Hispanic Linguistics PhD candidate Angela (Krak) Swain has recently accepted a position as Assistant Teaching Professor of Spanish in the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese at Penn State University. Angela is a past recipient of the Outstanding Spanish Teaching Assistant Award and is currently a Lillian B. Lawler Fellow. Her dissertation examines effects of linguistic exposure and sociolinguistic evaluation on auditory word recognition in three accents of Peninsular Spanish. She will begin her new position at Penn State in August 2023.
