Advising Instructions

Advisors meet with their students at least once per semester, before or during the registration period. We typically use this appointment calendar. Shortly before this period, you will get an email from your assigned advisor on instructions on how to book your appointment. Please note that the calendar is only used for these pre-registration advising sessions; if you need to meet any other time of the year, you may want to directly contact your advisor to schedule a meeting.

We also keep a linguistics major organization site on CourseWeb (log in required); information about the major and announcements are distributed through it. If you do not have access, ask your advisor to add your name to the site.
