My name is Mỹ-Hạnh (pronounced very closely to "Mee Han") which means in Vietnamese "Good virtue" as per my mother's wish. I have been in the city of Champions since 1979 and have been part of the Linguistic Department for 20+ years. I love the Vietnamese language "tôi yêu tiếng nước tôi" and teaching following my family tradition. I also feel very lucky to be at Pitt in the heart of Pittsburgh -dubbed as the melting pot of America. My husband , Nghi Nguyen M.D., a frequent guest speaker at Pitt Vietnamese class, and I were recipients of the Diocese of Pittsburgh "Manifesting the Kingdom" 2006 Award for our community activities.
